When Everest.com launched in April 2020, they knew a streaming platform tied to the marketplace would certainly set them apart from those other streaming-only platforms. Everest is only the second marketplace on the planet with a streaming platform tied to it (the only other one happens to be Amazon). Customers can now shop to their heart’s delight and then take a break to watch a movie, documentary, reality show, or television series in Everest’s streaming platform, which they call CaliberVideo.
Everest offers memberships similar to Amazon Prime, which they call Caliber. For a small membership fee, Caliber members get access to over 3,000 pieces of streaming video content ranging from feature films, indie flicks, docu-series, reality television, and more, along with some amazing other benefits – see https://www.everest.com/caliber-account for a full range of Caliber benefits.
CaliberVideo launches with strong strategic partnerships in place as illustrated by the channels offered within their streaming environment at time of launch, such as OutdoorChannel+, Panteo Productions, GunTalk, and BaneTV. There are at least six more channels coming online for Caliber members to enjoy within the next three months, so stay tuned for some exciting growth in the CaliberVideo environment.
In addition, CaliberVideo is in the process of deal making related to Everest Originals. The original materials will include the production and development of feature films, documentaries, docu-series, reality shows, animated films and short films. Genres will include historical, war time, outdoors, adventure, action, thriller and more. The first Everest Originals production will premiere in 2021.
“The creation of CaliberVideo and Everest Originals came from the desire to build a strong community within the Everest marketplace and to provide more value for our Caliber members,” says Bill Voss, CEO/Founder of Everest. “We have developed a marketplace where outdoor enthusiasts can shop hundreds of thousands of outdoor related products while also consuming content in line with their passions and lifestyle.”
CaliberVideo is included for free in every Everest Caliber membership. Moreover, Caliber members can watch thousands of hours on CaliberVideo at no additional cost via their web browser and a cutting-edge mobile app, which is launching in the very near future. Furthermore, Caliber members will also be able to purchase and download new premieres and exclusive titles not included with the membership.
Voss adds, “CaliberVideo will continually add to its vast library through new producers and content creators, brand partners and user generated content. Our goal is to ensure our audience and members always have a wide array of fresh content available to them. We also want our content producers to feel comfortable that the rug will never be pulled out from under them because of some politically driven decision, as they are currently experiencing on other sites.”
Customers, especially those with Caliber Accounts, can take advantage of the largest selection of outdoor gear on the internet, all at competitive pricing, and also get notice of amazing deals and sales early, and have access to a robust library of how-to videos, gear reviews, and more!
