A private member’s bill moved by Nationalist Congress Party leader Supriya Sule in Parliament seeks to allow employees the right to reject work-related calls and emails beyond office hours and on holidays. The Right to Disconnect Bill mandates companies to classify out-of-work demands ‘as a way to reduce stress and ease tension between an employee’s personal and professional life’, Sule stated.
Do work calls after office hours bother you? Does your boss call you back for last-minute work? Do you get stressed over the possibility of getting a work call on holidays? Should employees be expected to respond to work calls, emails after office hours or do you think it is a personal choice? Take the poll and let us know or leave your comments below.
