How To Close Your SBI Credit Card?

Individuals would often want to close their credit cards to rationalize expenses or due to lack of benefits on credit cards. Also, they might want to close a credit card to simply avoid needless expenditure or simply because they are unhappy with the service.

Process to close your SBI Credit Card

In case you have a credit card issued by SBI, it is not too difficult to close the card. Individuals can close the same by writing to the company or by calling the SBI Card Helpline.

After placing your request for account closure, you are required to cut your credit card(s) diagonally. Your request will automatically lead to the termination of the add-on cards.

It's important to note that before making a call to the SBI Card helpline, you should ensure that all outstandings on the credit card has been settled.

In case there is an outstanding, the bank will not be able to close your credit card. Also, it's important to check if you have any credit card points that are available. In case, you have the same it is better to redeem the same, before you make request for cancellation or closure of your credit card.
