Can you click great photos with iPhone? Apple shows pics from winners of iPhone Challenge to prove you can
Apple believes that iPhone is one of the best cameras in the world, and while not everyone agrees, the stats do hint at the popularity of the iPhone as a camera: A lot of people, even on the websites like Flickr, post some real photos clicked with an iPhone. Now, to highlight the iPhone camera, Apple is showing 10 winning photographs from its recently announced iPhone Challenge.
And the photos do indeed show that the iPhone, when used creatively can click some fantastic photos. Granted most of the winning photos are all about the landscape imaging or photos of static objects. No action or wildlife photography -- cats don't count -- here because despite all the progress made in the smartphone cameras, these are the areas that remain out of reach for a phone like the iPhone XS and the Google Pixel.
As for the iPhone challenge, here is what Apple says: "iPhone photographers around the world shared their best photos for the Shot on iPhone Challenge, capturing remarkable moments with the world's most popular camera. The 10 selected winners will be featured on billboards in select cities, in Apple retail stores and online. The winning shots came from a range of models, from iPhone XS Max to iPhone 7, showcasing the quality of cameras across the line."
