Shares of Clariant Chemicals (India) edged higher by as much as 18 per cent to after the company announced a special interim dividend of Rs. 140 per share for the FY 2020-21. The record date for the dividend has been fixed as July 18, 2020 and the dividend will be paid after July 19, 2020.
For the fiscal year 2020, Clariant Chemicals reported over twice the net profit of Rs. 71 crore in comparison to Rs. 30 crore in the same period of the previous year.
"The Company's strong bottom line and cash performance is a result of the continued momentum from strategy to drive profitable growth while expanding presence in the market with superior products," the management said.
At 1:13 pm, the stock traded higher by 16.86% or Rs. 82 at Rs. 568.30 per share.
