CGBSE Chhattisgarh Board collects Rs 7.97 crore as exam registration fee

CGBSE board exams 2020: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has collected Rs 7.97 crore as registration fee from students appearing for board exams. This includes fee collected from class 9, 11 and half-year fee from students appearing for class 10 and 12 board exams.

CGBSE informed that most students, 4.04 lakh are appearing for class 9 followed by 2.97 lakh for class 10 and 2.22 lakh for class 12 and 2.04 lakh for class 12. The respective fee collected from each student to appear for the board exams is Rs 80 for class 9, Rs 100 for class 11 students and Rs 50 each from those appearing for class 10 and 12 board exams.

The maximum collection of Rs 3.23 crore was received from class 9 followed Rs 2.22 crore from class 11 students. The fee collected from class 10 and class 12 students was Rs 1.48 lakh and 1.02 lakh, respectively according to the Board.

Meanwhile, the board has also released the exam date sheet for schedule for the CGBSE Board exams 2020. The exams for class 9, 10 will begin from December 12 while those for class 11 and 12 will begin from December 9, 2019.

The class 9 and 10 exams will be held in the morning from 10 am to 1 pm while for class 11 and 12, the exams will be held in afternoon shift - from 2 pm to 5 pm.

In 2019, over 8 lakh candidates had appeared for CGBSE class 10, 12 board exams. Of the total 3,88,120 regular students registered for CGBSE High School Certificate Examination (10th) last year out of which 2,61,177 student passed the exam - taking the pass percentage to 68.20 per cent.

As many 2,62,492 students were registered for CGBSE Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12th) last year. In 2019, CGBSE class 12 result, 2,03,893 (78.43 pc) passed.
