CBSE Cyber Safety Handbook For Students Classes 9 To 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a handbook on Cyber Safety for the students of Classes 9 and 11. The Board has launched CBSE Cyber Safety handbook to ensure healthy digital habits in students besides making them aware of Cyber laws. Interested students can access handbook on Cyber Safety on the CBSE's academic official site - http://cbseacademic.nic.in.

Earlier, the HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhariyal 'Nishank' tweeted to make students aware of cyber security from class 9th to 12th, CBSE has prepared a 'Cyber Security Handbook.' This handbook is available on the CBSE website at the following link - http://cbseacademic.nic.in/web_material/Manuals/Cyber_Safety_Manual.pdf

The official notice reads, "Delving into digital lives of youngsters, through exercises, the Handbook on Cyber Safety for students aims to comprehensively cover all aspects of literacy and safety. The aim of the Handbook is to engage students in learning about responsible online behavior, their rights, freedoms and responsibilities along with basic awareness about personal security and safety."

It also reads, "The Handbook also contains ready resources for students to go to, in order to get tools and material to learn more about digital literacy and online safety. Designed for students of secondary and senior secondary schools, the handbook presents quick tips and takeaways for their day-to-day online use. The objective of the handbook is to make youngsters more aware, better informed and responsible in navigating the cyberspace."
The CBSE is releasing the handbooks for capacity building of its teachers/principals and quality improvement of its services for students and schools.
