Key benchmark indices are trading firm in early trade on buying demand in index pivotals. At 9:25 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 213.39 points or 0.45percent at 48,096.77. The Nifty 50 index was up 75.50 points or 0.53percent at 14,386.30. The Sensex regained the 48,000 mark in early trade. Upbeat Asian stocks boosted sentiment. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was up 0.68percent. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 1.02percent. The market breadth is strong. TCS dropped 3.47percent. TCS reported a 6.3percent growth in consolidated net profit to Rs 9,246 crore in Q4 March 2021 over Q3 December 2020. Consolidated revenue grew by 4percent to Rs 43,705 crore in Q4 March 2021 over Q3 December 2020. TCS' order book at $9.2 billion in Q4 March 2021, was the highest ever total contract value (TCV) in a quarter, taking the total yearly order book at $31.6 billion, a 17.1percent growth compared to previous financial year. For the financial year ended March 2021, the company's consolidated revenues grew 4.6percent to Rs 1,64,177 crore and net profit rose 0.28percent to Rs 32,430 crore. The company's board has proposed a final dividend of Rs 15 per share. Hindustan Copper gained 3.2percent to Rs 135.50. Hindustan Copper closed its qualified institutional placement issue and approved the issue price of Rs 119.60 per equity share for the issue.
