BMB Rolls Out RuPay debit card

Aug 8 -- India’s first all-women lender Bharatiya Mahila Bank Ltd has unveiled BMB RuPay Debit Card which uses EMV chip card technology.

The newly launched cards can be swiped at all NFS Network ATMs (automated teller machines), POS (point of sale) terminals and online merchant sites, the bank said in a statement.

Bank’s CMD Usha Ananthasubramanian said that the launch showcases bank’s commitment and eagerness to serve its customers with latest technology services.

She said that the state-run lender will launch new, unique, value added products and services in the near future such as biometric authentication services for its illiterate customers.

Ananthasubramanian informed that the bank has installed 23 ATMs across the country that accept cards of each and every brand and plans to set up 60 such ATMs in the present year.
