BJP MLA releases patriotic song on Ram Navami, Pakistan Army claims he copied it from them
Thakur Raja Singh Lodh, a BJP member of the Telangana legislative assembly representing the Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad, on Saturday posted a video of him singing a song "Hindustan Zindabad" on Twitter.
Thakur Raja Singh Lodh claimed it as his "new" song and announced its release on the occasion of Ram Navami.
However, as Thakur Raja Singh Lodh shared a snippet of the song on social media, the Pakistani Army claimed that the composition was a copy of a song released by its media wing on March 23 for Pakistan Day. The song was written by Sahir Ali Bagga, according to PTI.
"Glad that you copied. But copy to speak the truth as well," Pakistan army spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted.
According to Pakistan's local media reports, Lodh copied the song 'Zindabad Pakistan', recorded it by changing it to 'Zindabad Hindustan' and dedicated it to Indian armed forces.
Meanwhile, when India Today TV contacted the lawmaker for his reaction he was not available for it.
Thakur Raja Singh Lodh is known for his controversial statements and nationalist stance. The two-time legislator is the lone MLA of the saffron party in Telangana.
