Asus on Tuesday announced a price cut for Ze7nFone 3 Max 5.2 (ZC520TL). The device was first launched at a price tag of Rs 12,999, however, Asus later dropped the price by Rs 2,000 and the phone was selling at Rs 10,999. But now, after the new price cut, Asus ZenFone Max will be available at Rs 9,999. It is just a few days ago that Asus announced Rs 1,000 price cut for the ZenFone Max (ZC550KL) model, which is now available at Rs 7,999.
The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer -- commenting on the price drop of the ZenFone Max 5.2 model says that the new price will be applicable across all major e-commerce sites including Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal and other retail stores including Asus exclusive stores in India. This means consumers buying the Zenfone Max from the aforementioned stores can get the device with the new price tag.
The smartphone was announced in January 2016. The key highlight of the ZenFone Max 5.2 is its massive battery setup. The phone is backed by a big 4100mAh battery -- which as claimed by the company lasts for a whole working day and also delivers a smooth gaming experience without any battery draining problems. Asus claims that the massive battery helps the smartphone double up as a power bank.
Going by other specifications, the Asus ZenFone Max 3 comes with a 5.2-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor which comes coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expandable via a microSD card.
On the camera department, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the back panel, while on the front the device sports a 5-megapixel sensor. ZenFone Max was originally launched with ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, however, Asus released the latest software version for the device. The smartphone currently runs on the latest ZenUI version based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) comes with some notable features like a large 4100mAh battery, hybrid dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) support, and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Asus released an update for the handset that bumped the software from ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to newer ZenUI version based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Connectivity wise, the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) comes with several options like -- 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB, and FM radio. The smartphone also comes with several other features like -- an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
