ALFA 2014 Best of the Best Award Nominations Open

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), the largest national association dedicated to professionally managed senior living communities and the seniors and families they serve, today announced the launch of its annual ALFA Best of the Best Awards program.

The ALFA Best of the Best Awards recognizes new products, services and programs advancing excellence in senior living, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

“An important role of ALFA is to continuously challenge senior living companies to help ‘raise the bar’ for excellence in the senior living business by sharing their new and innovative products, services and programs in service to America’s seniors,” said Richard P. Grimes, ALFA's President & CEO.

ALFA members may go to www.alfa.org/bestofthebest to learn more and submit nominations. All nominations are due by the close of business December 13, 2013. Senior living providers and companies serving the senior living industry may collaborate on nominations or submit separately.

ALFA will announce the 2014 Best of the Best winners in the May/June Senior Living Executive magazine and honor the award winners at the annual ALFA Conference and Expo, May 19-22 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Awards and recognition will focus on programs and initiatives advancing excellence in senior living by addressing topics in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Clinical, Health and Wellness, Information Technology, Physical Plant and Property Management, and Resident and Family Engagement. The Best of the Best awards will be given to 10 nominees receiving the highest scores from an expert panel.

The Best of the Best Awards are part of ALFA’s recognition program including the ALFA Hero Awards and the ALFA Senior Living Community Leadership Award, which are also currently accepting nominations. Visit www.alfa.org/awards for more details.
