2021 Honda Forza 750 scooter unveiled, details on design, features and specifications

Japanese two-wheeler major Honda has finally pulled the wraps off its latest offering, the Forza 750 scooter. This will be the company's flagship offering in the Forza scooter range, starting with the Forza 125 followed by the Forza 300 and the Forza 350. The 2021 Honda Forza 750 is essentially the Honda Integra scooter but with revised styling, more powerful engine and also additional features which make it more premium and new age compared to the Integra.

Powering the 2021 Honda Forza is the 745cc parallel-twin engine, also seen on the Integra, X-ADV and the NC range, that has been sourced from the Honda Jazz's four-cylinder unit. Compared to the previous, the newly revised engine complies with Euro V emission norms and also makes 5PS more at 59PS at 6,750rpm, which is 500rpm more than the previous. The torque rating of this motor has been increased from 68Nm to 69Nm at 4,750rpm. Honda claims that this motor delivers an overall efficiency of 33.37kmpl, which should deliver a range of more than 400km with its 13.2-litre fuel tank range. Honda also has plans to launch a 47PS version for A2 licensing, when it launches the scooters in the international markets by the end of this year.

The engine is mated to Honda's DCT unit, which has two main shafts, one for 1st, 3rd and 5th and the other for 2nd, 4th and 6th, that offer seamless shifts, claims the company. The shifts can be either automatic where the unit functions according to the engine speed, throttle position, speed and the gear or can be used in manual mode with the shifter on the left side of the handlebar, for both up and downshifts. Further, the scooter gets three riding modes namely Standard, Sport and Rain. There's also a user-mode wherein the rider can individually alter the engine braking, traction control and also the power delivery from the motor.

In terms of features, the Honda Forza 750 gets a 5-inch TFT instrumentation, which looks far more modern compared to the LCD in the previous. Further, it gets Honda's smartphone voice control system that helps the rider access telephony, navigation and also plays music with the help of an app and Bluetooth connected headset, that can be controlled with the buttons on the bar, similar to what we have seen on the newly launched Honda CB 350 roadster in India. The features of the Honda 750 also includes USB socket in the luggage compartment, keyless fob and 22-litre of under-seat space.

Underpinning the new Honda Forza 750 is the same tubular steel frame as seen on the Integra. The big update here is the swingarm, which in the Forza 750 has been taken from the X-ADV. At the front, the scooter gets a 41mm USD unit, that appears much chunky compared to the one on the Integra. Additionally, the Forza 750 comes with 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels. Braking duties are being taken care of by the four-pot Nissin front callipers, gripping 310mm discs in the front and two-piston calliper with 320mm in the rear. The Forza 750 has a kerb weight of 235kg, which makes it 3kg lighter than the X-ADV but heavier than the NC750.

While Honda is yet to announce the pricing of the Forza 750, it is believed to be around £9,500 translating to close to Rs 9 lakh. With that kind of pricing, it is unlikely Honda will even think of getting the Forza 750 in India.
