The investment seeks to provide high current income. Capital growth is secondary. The fund invests primarily in high-yield, high-risk, fixed-income securities of domestic and, to a lesser extent, foreign issuers. It invests primarily in lower quality bonds that include bonds rated BBB and below by S&P. The fund may invest an unlimited amount of assets in junk bonds, which include bonds rated BB and below by S&P. It may invest in fixed-income securities of any maturity and in companies of any size.
