The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in growth-oriented equity securities of medium-and large-capitalization companies. The equity securities include common and preferred stocks, convertible securities and equity-linked securities, rights and warrants to purchase common stocks, depositary receipts, equity-related futures contracts and options and other specialty securities having equity features. It may invest up to 35% of total assets in securities of foreign issuers. The fund may invest up to 10% of total assets in real estate investment trusts (?REITs?).
