The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation and protection against inflation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in the equity securities of domestic and foreign companies principally engaged in gold exploration, mining, or processing and other precious metals and minerals, such as platinum, silver and diamonds. It is nondiversified.
