The investment seeks maximum total return. The fund invests, under normal conditions, at least 80% of net assets in small- and mid-cap equity securities of domestic companies whose market capitalization falls within the range of $100 million to $8 billion. It may invest up to 10% of total assets in foreign securities, including securities of issuers in emerging countries and securities quoted in foreign currencies. The fund may invest its assets in cash, cash equivalent securities or short-term debt securities, repurchase agreements and money market instruments.
