| The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests 80% of net assets in African and the Middle Eastern companies. It may invest in common stocks in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, and United Arab Emirates, as well as others as their markets develop. The portfolio should consist of investments in about 30 to 40 different companies. The fund is nondiversified. |
