The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. In addition, it seeks to outperform the Russell 2000(R) index. The fund invests primarily in common stocks of U.S. companies. It normally invests at least 80% of net assets in the common stocks of small-cap companies whose market capitalization of companies dose not exceed those of the Russell 2000 index. The fund may continue to hold investments in companies whose market capitalizations appreciate or depreciate to levels outside of the range of the fund's investment focus.
