The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of emerging market companies, which may include common stocks, preferred stocks, or other securities convertible into common stock. It may invest up to 20% of assets in bonds, stocks and cash or money market instruments. It also invests up to 10% of assets in below-investment-grade securities.
