The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in Latin American companies. It invests at least four countries at any time. The fund may make substantial investments (at times more than 25% of total assets) in the telephone companies of various Latin American countries. These utilities play a critical role in a country's economic development. It is nondiversified.
