The investment seeks as high a level of current interest income exempt from federal and California income taxes for individual investors as is consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests 80% of net assets in California municipal securities that pay interest that in the opinion of counsel to the issuer of each security, is exempt from federal and California individual income taxes. These primarily include municipal bonds, municipal notes, and interests in municipal leases. It is nondiversified.
