The investment seeks income; moderate long-term growth is secondary. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities. It invests in a diversified portfolio of income-producing equity securities and corporate and government fixed income investments. The fund may invest no more than 20% of total assets in non-investment grade preferred stocks, convertible securities and debt securities.
