The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of medium-sized U.S. companies with market capitalizations in the range of companies included in the Russell Mid-cap index. It may invest up to 20% of assets in the equity securities of larger capitalization companies. The fund may invest up to 15% of assets in non-U.S. equity securities. It may also engage in foreign currency transactions and lending portfolio securities.
