The investment seeks current income exempt from federal and California income taxes, consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in California municipal securities. These securities include participation or other interests in municipal securities issued or backed by banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions. It may invest up to 20% of assets in bonds rated below investment-grade bonds. The fund is nondiversified.
