The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities and other securities with equity characteristics of U.S. small-capitalization or small-cap companies, as determined at the time of purchase. It generally invests in securities of companies within a market capitalization range of companies within the Russell 2000 index. The fund invests in securities of 40 to 70 companies.
