The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of undervalued small companies whose market capitalization is within the 12-month average of the capitalization range of the Russell 2000 value index. It may also lend portfolio securities on a short-term or long-term basis, up to one-third of total assets and may, within the parameters of its specific investment policies, invest the assets in derivatives.
