The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of mid-sized companies whose market capitalization is within the 12-month average of the capitalization range of the Russell Midcap index. It focuses on companies that have fallen out of favor with the market or that appear to be temporarily misunderstood by the investment community. The fund may invest without limit in foreign equity and debt securities, which may include investments in emerging markets.
