The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation; current income is a secondary consideration. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of companies principally engaged in gold-related activities, as well as in instruments that derive their value from gold, and in gold coins and bullion. It may invest up to 12.5% of assets in gold and silver coins as well as gold, silver, platinum and palladium bullion. The fund invest up to 20% of total assets in securities issued by other investment companies, including open-end and closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds. It is nondiversified.
