The investment seeks to provide a high level of current income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests primarily in investment-grade debt securities of domestic and, to a lesser extent, U.S. dollar-denominated securities of foreign issuers, including U.S. government securities, corporate debt securities, mortgage-backed securities including collateralized mortgage obligations and other asset backed securities. It invests at least 80% of assets in bonds with limited-term maturities. The fund may invest in companies of any size.
