The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in securities of companies principally engaged in the development, manufacture, or sale of communications equipment. Emerging communications are those which derive from new technologies or new applications of existing technologies. It places less emphasis on traditional communications companies such as traditional telephone utilities and large long distance carriers. The fund may invest in securities of foreign issuers. It is nondiversified.
