The investment seeks a high current yield exempt from federal income taxes; its secondary goal is capital appreciation to the extent possible and consistent with the Fund's principal investment goal. The fund normally invests at least 80% of total assets in securities whose interest is exempt from federal and personal income taxes. It is possible although not anticipated that up to 20% of its total assets may be in securities that pay taxable interest, including interest that may be subject to the federal alternative minimum tax. The fund may not invest more than 25% of total assets in the municipal securities of any one state or territory.
