The investment seeks current income exempt from federal income taxes, other than the alternative minimum tax, and California state income tax as part of a long-term strategy of achieving tax-advantaged total return. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal securities that are exempt from federal income tax, other than the alternative minimum tax, and from California State and local personal income taxes. It normally invests at least 80% of assets in investment grade securities. The Fund may invest up to 20% of assets in other obligations, which may include taxable securities. It is nondiversified.
