The investment seeks current income exempt from federal taxes. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal obligations that are exempt from such taxes. It primarily invests in investment grade municipal obligations (those rated BBB or Baa or higher), but may also invest in lower rated obligations. The fund normally invests in municipal obligations with maturities of ten years or more.
