The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in the stocks of companies with market capitalizations within the range of companies in the Russell 2000 Value index at the time of purchase. The fund's stock investments may include common stocks, preferred stocks and convertible securities of both U.S. and foreign issuers, including those purchased in initial public offerings. It may invest up to 15% of assets in foreign securities.
