The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in equity securities of companies that have the potential for high earnings growth. It considers small-cap companies to be those which generally represent the smallest 25% in terms of market capitalization of U.S. equity securities listed on a national securities exchange or NASDAQ. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of small-cap companies. It also invests no more than 20% of assets in debt securities of corporate and government issuers.
