The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in domestic common stocks, preferred stocks , convertible preferred stocks, warrants and rights of mid-cap companies. It considers a company to be a mid-cap company if, at time of purchase, it has a market capitalization between $1.5 billion and $10 billion.
