The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities issued by U.S. emerging capitalization companies with relatively earnings growth potential and valuation. It primarily buys common stock but can also invest in preferred stock and securities convertible into common and preferred stock. The fund may invest in shares of companies through initial public offerings (IPOs) and in derivative instruments.
