The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in marketable equity securities, including convertible securities, of small-capitalization companies that have a market capitalization, at the time of purchase, no larger than the largest capitalization company included in the Russell 2000 index during the most recent 11-month period plus the most recent data during the current month. It may invest up to 25% of assets in foreign securities and 10% of assets in fixed-income securities.
