The investment seeks high current income with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity and debt securities of companies principally engaged in the real estate industry and other real estate-related investments. The fund may invest up to 30% of its total assets in non-investment grade securities including non-investment grade preferred stocks and convertible preferred stocks and non-investment grade debt securities (commonly known as? junk bonds"). The fund may invest up to 25% of its total assets in foreign securities and engage in short sale transactions. It is nondiversified.
