The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests 80% of total assets in securities of companies in the Asia Pacific region, excluding Japan. It invests primarily in marketable equity securities, but the investments may include synthetic instruments. The fund may invest up to 20% of total assets in securities of non-Asia Pacific companies including investments in companies with market capitalizations of less than one billion. It may also hold a portion of assets in cash or cash equivalents, including shares of affiliated money market funds.
