Reliance Infrastructure Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the generation, transmission, distribution, and trade of power in India. The company operates coal, wind, thermal, and combined cycle power generation projects; generates 941 MW of electricity from its power stations located in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, and Goa; and distributes approximately 36 billion units of electricity to approximately 30 million consumers in various areas, including Mumbai and Delhi, as well as develops 5 power transmission projects. It supplies power to residential, industrial, commercial and other consumers. The company also provides project engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for coal-based thermal and gas-power projects, and transmission lines; and construction services for various infrastructural projects, including highways, roads, bridges, airports, metro rail and other mass rapid transit systems, special economic zones, real estate, and cement plants. In addition, it engages in the exploration and production of coal bed methane in 4 blocks covering an area of 3,266 square kilometers located in Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan; and exploration and production of an oil and gas block covering an area of 3,619 square kilometers located in Mizoram. The company was incorporated in 1929 and is based in Navi Mumbai, India.
