The luxury electric car maker opened a 12th N. America store in a Santa Monica, Calif., shopping area, a week after Model S deliveries began. Instead of the usual dealerships and salespeople, Tesla (TSLA) is trying tony retail spots, often near Apple (AAPL) stores, to show off its cars — and has begun a test-drive tour. It fell 7% for the week and 0.4% Fri.
