MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex closed 0.46 percent lower on Wednesday, weighed down by financial stocks, which extended losses a day after a rating downgrade on top lender State Bank of India.
The main 30-share BSE index ended down 72.45 points at 15,792.41, with 16 of its components closing in the red. Shares in SBI ended down 3.85 percent.
The 50-share NSE index fell 0.44 percent to 4,751.30 points.
