Thiruvananthapuram, July 15 (IANS) Giving a thumbs up to the concept of mind power creating billionaires, Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi suggested Sunday that industrial enterprises should also be the catalysts to drive youngsters to set up ventures.
He was speaking at the release of the book 'Kodiswaranakam Manasakthiyilude' (You Can be Billionaire Through Mind Power), written by Kerala's renowned success coach and mind power trainer P.P. Vijayan.
Former diplomat T.P. Srinivasan accepted the first copy of the book, a first time research piece in Malayalam to justify money making in an ethical means and list the ways to become a billionaire changing the mind-set to begin with.
"Mind power is the key to the growth and success of each person. Mahatma Gandhi proved that mind power could stir the masses. His fast as a tool of protest was a noble example of mind power. He was determined on his path, even while the death was staring at him," Ravi said.
"It is this mind power that fortifies one to achieve success through crises. It is a welcome perspective that mind power can solve this way the tensions in the society and financial inequalities," added the Union Minister.
Vijayan said different religious texts and philosophies had justified the desire for making money in an ethical way. The two-decade long experience and research had led him to write this book, he said, adding that he had included the anecdotes of a few billionaires in the book to show the significance of their mind power behind the success.
Capital city based Mindcare Books has published this book.
The author delves into creative visualisation that works as a magnetic power to success, apart for listing 101 ways to make money in the concluding part of the book.
"The aim of the book itself is to create entrepreneurs and the wealthy in Kerala from where people migrate to other parts of the world in search of money. The general psyche of Kerala people is that they can build up their lives by pursuing some jobs. But if we can create 1,000 billionaires in Kerala, no one needs to go out of the state in search of jobs," said Vijayan.
Vijayan, through his Life Line Foundation, has been working with students, professionals, businessmen and entrepreneurs on mind training.
