Recently announced TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. (TQNT) launched its TriConnect TQP6M9017 WLAN module for today’s mobile phones. This marks the entry of the first ever 802.11ac Wi-Fi RF module in the industry.
This unique product shall not only escalate download and streaming speeds but also connect to devices at a higher range using its high-powered Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity solutions. Data transfer is designed to abet the process three to four times more than the current 802.11n Wi-Fi using this advanced technology, allowing for faster video streaming, game-play and other multimedia applications.
The burgeoning demand for smartphones in today’s market creates an avenue for growth especially for technology solutions manufacturers. In this regard, TriQuint’s state-of-the-art WLAN device will undoubtedly be momentous and would allow for market expansion and goodwill enhancement for the company.
On May 3, 2012, the company announced a $50 million share repurchase program. This act denotes that not only does the company cater towards product and technological innovations but also displays as much solicitude for returning optimum value to its investors.
