Chandigarh, Feb 23 (IANS) Haryana has achieved a growth rate of 9.6 percent, Governor Jagannath Pahadia said Thursday.
In his address to the state assembly on the first day of the budget session, Pahadia said as per the advance estimates for 2011-12, the per capita income of Haryana was expected to be Rs.109,227 at current prices.
He said Haryana ranked second after Goa, a much smaller state and with a far lower population, among all the states.
He said the average growth rate of industrial production in Haryana was 7.9 percent during 2010-11.
