The satellite TV provider's revenue rose 11% to $3.58 bil, vs. the $3.62 bil analysts saw. EPS of 80 cents was down 34% from a year ago, but a dime over views. Dish Network (DISH - News) subscribers rose by 104,000, vs. by 58,000 in the year-ago quarter, to 14.07 mil. It's a highly rated name in IBD's Telecom Services-Cable/Satellite industry group, as are rivals Comcast (CMCSA - News), DirecTV (DTV - News) and Time Warner Cable (TWC - News). Dish fell 1.2% and DirecTV 0.7%. Time Warner Cable and Comcast both lifted 0.6%.
