Seoul (S.Korea), June 13 (Xinhua-ANI): U.S. automaker Chrysler Group planned to recall 1,085 sedans in South Korea for a defective electrical wiring, the transportation ministry said Wednesday.
Voluntary recall would be made for 1,085 units of 300C model with faulty electrical wiring related to anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC), according to the Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs. The faulty wiring may lead to overheating and affect driving safety, the ministry said.
Subject to recall are 300C vehicles that were manufactured by the U.S. carmaker and imported by the carmaker's local distributor between March 21 and Dec. 20 last year.
Owners of the defective vehicles can contact the service centers for free repairs starting Thursday, while those who had their cars repaired in advance can be reimbursed for their costs, the ministry said. (Xinhua-ANI)
