Mumbai: Indian public sector lender Canara Bank said it has initiated the process of recruiting probationary officers in the junior management grade (JMG) scale I to fill up around 2,000 vacancies pan-India.
Candidates with 60% marks in graduation and having a total weighted standard score of 156 in the common written examination conducted by recruitment body -- the Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) -- are eligible to apply, it said.
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the IBPS score, group discussion and an interview, the bank said.
Fifty percent weightage will be given for the IBPS score, 30% for the interview and the remaining will be for the group discussion, it added.
Earlier last week, Indian public sector lender Allahabad Bank said that it has started the process of recruiting probationary officers to fill up around 1,600 vacancies across the country.
As of December 31, 2011, Canara Bank had 3,569 branches which includes five overseas branches, one each in London, Leicester, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Manama. The bank has also a representative office in Sharjah, the UAE.
Shares of Canara Bank Friday ended at Rs 501.4, down 1.29%, on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
